We can carry out the Coolsculpting procedure here in Melbourne in a quick and easy one hour session. The treatments are non-invasive and pain-free. After only a single treatment and a two month wait, patients have experienced a 20% reduction in the target area. After six months, ultrasounds have detected a 25% reduction of the fat layer. As there is limited data on the long term effects, it remains to be seen how long the treatments will last.

What are the side-effects?

Coolsculpting has been seen to have minimal side effects. These include transient local redness, bruising, and numbness of the skin. Patients who experience these side effects can expect them to subside within a matter of days. Studies into Coolsculpting’s effect on peripheral nerves failed to show permanent detrimental results. After a six month follow up on patients, there were no serious long-lasting effects to note.
